Private Salon, Members' Restaurant, European Parliament, Brussels In the context of the 2011-2012 financial programme (€2.8 billion) of the European Union for funding research and innovation in ICT, this dinner debate aims at discussing the policy priorities in this area which plays a decisive role in Europe’s future prosperity and wellbeing. Taking place at the same time as the ICT 2010 Conference of the European Commission, this timely event will help participants gain a better understanding of the latest trends in Information and Communication Technologies and the key elements to promote innovation in Europe. Are we on the right track with the FP7? What does work? What does not work? How can we close the gap between research and innovation?
