2nd September - EIF Networking event opened by BarrosoAuthor: EIF online (14.September.2009)On 2nd of September the European Internet Foundation, together with the Forum for the Automobile and Society and the Financial Forum, organised a networking cocktail to re-launch their activities at the beginning of a new Parliament. Mr. Harbour MEP and EIF Governor opened the evening and welcomed Mr. Barroso, President of the European Commission, who spoke about the important choices Europe needs to make to climb out of the crisis and make Europe competitive again. Mr. Barroso acknowledged the important role of the parliamentary fora in helping this process by bringing together the various stakeholders.
