The Internet has undeniably transformed the way consumers and businesses interact, posing some fundamental challenges to policy-makers and regulators.
Several of the issues in the current EU legislative agenda in this field, e.g. data privacy, net neutrality, e-commerce, digital single market, mobile roaming, radio spectrum, protection of minors, all contain consumers’ interests as a core element.
The aim of this event is to pull together the threads of some of current legislative debates related to the internet, with a particular emphasis on the role of regulators in looking after consumers’ interests.
