Smart Energy Lunch Debate in collaboration with European Energy Forum

This lunch debate in collaboration with the European Energy Forum will explore the synergies between ICT and Energy, two leading sectors. It will look into concrete examples how the use of ICT in the energy sector can become an important tool to improve the conditions in which energy is produced, traded, transmitted, distributed and consumed.

The EU has set clear efficiency targets that can be met with the help of ICT.

For example, ICT connects energy supply to current demand and ensures that electricity will be consumed at the right time and at the right place. ICT helps make networks more efficient: distributed and variable power generation is better managed through smart grids. Predictive analytics contribute to forecast supply and demand and help improving maintenance and repair.
