The transition to digital has thus brought about a number of opportunities for the publishing sector, to innovate production processes, products and business models, as well as a series of challenges.
EIF breakfast debate 'Technology and Innovation for Smart Publishing' included a presentation from the German Publishers and Booksellers Association (Boersenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels), which is launching a series of projects to stimulate innovation (including a start-up incubator).
