EIF met the EU Commissioner Carlos Moedas

On 28 June at the EIF Summer Reception MEPs, EIF Members and friends met EU Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation Carlos Moedas for an exchange of views on his policy priorities and future initiatives. Pilar del Castillo, MEP and EIF Chair, welcomed Mr Moedas in the European Parliament.
Mr Moedas used this opportunity to speak about innovation in the digital world. He noted that Europe has to develop instruments for how to take full advantage of digital innovation. He presented the idea of the European Innovation Council and a new approach for innovation funding. He also presented the priorities for Open Science.
