Gianpiero is a technologist, with an important musical career in the ‘80s, who with Mariuccia Teroni has been working for almost thirty years on innovative projects in the publishing world and on technologies applied to content.
He was Adjunct Professor of Multimedia Publishing at the University of Milan and wrote books and articles on technology for major Italian editors like Bruno Mondadori, Sperling and Gruppo Espresso.
From 2014 Gianpiero has been Ambassador of e-Skills for Jobs: a project under the Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs of the European Commission.
In 2015 he received the Gold Medal of the city of Pavia for his commitment and contribution to technology innovation.
In 2016 he was the Innovative Entrepreneur chosen by the Italian Minister of Economic Development to represent Italy at the European Council for Competitiveness organized by the Dutch Presidency of the European Commission in Amsterdam to discuss the main challenges and opportunities arising from digitisation of industry within Europe.
He is a regular speaker at international events such as the European Business Summit, Rimini Meeting, Digital Venice, Pisa Internet Festival, the Single Market Forum organized by the European Commission, and at the European Parliament, European Internet Forum, and TEDx.
