Dr. Joachim Kind is Head of Communication at the Media Authority of Rhineland-Palatinate (LMK) and Spokesman for the Safer Internet Centre Germany as well as for klicksafe, the German Awareness Centre, both within the EU Safer Internet Programme with offices in Berlin and Ludwigshafen. His major tasks are Communication, Media Policy and International Relations, i.e. Marketing Campaigns, EU Network or IGF.
In 2001-2005 he was a Managing Director of the Joint Commission on Digital Access of the State Media and Regulatory Authorities in Berlin. Since 1998 until 2001 he was Spokesman of the Media Authority for Broadcasting (LPR) and in 1998 also Spokesman of the Directors' Conference of the State Media Authorities. In 1994 -1998 he was Head of Public Relations at the European Law Foundation (ERA) in Trier and Brussels. He has also been engaged in managing and scientific jobs in the academic world. Mr Kind holds a PhD in Communication and Linguistics, M.A. in English, French and Italian Linguistics and Literature, Certificate in Media Communication and Certificate in European Law and Integration. He has been a project assistant at various international institutions including European Parliament, United Nations in New York and industry in Singapore.
