Cristina Mussinelli is the Secretary General of the LIA Foundation, a non profit organization providing visual impaired people with accessible versions of digital books. Furthermore Lia Foundation promotes the accessibility of digital books and reading through activities of education, information, sensitization and research, acting, at national and international level, as a catalyst creating awareness of the relevance of accessibility in the publishing market, involving not only publishers but all the actors in the digital book value chain.
She is member of the Board of IDPF (International Digital Publishing Forum), www.idpf.org, the global trade and standards association for electronic publishing, that develops and maintains the EPUB® standard and the Board of the European Digital Reading Lab, www.edrlab.org, whose main objective is contribute at providing a technical foundation for the European digital publishing ecosystem.
Since 1988 she has been responsible for the technological innovation and digital publishing areas within AIE (Italian Publishers Association), www.aie.it, where she manages European and international projects and the digital publishing professional training course program.
She is the scientific director for EDITECH, the most important international conference held in Italy on technological innovation in the publishing industry (www.editech.info) and member of the Jury of the BolognaRagazzi International Digital Award, managed by the Bologna Children Book Fair.
