Pablo Sarrias is following his passion for using technology to strengthen democracy. 

Pablo is OpenSeneca’s CEO and founder, directing the organization’s comprehensive growth as provider of disruptive technology. Pablo is leading a team of enthusiastic people whose shared mission is to advance democratic participation, encourage citizen consultation and drive public transparency.

Pablo is an internationally recognized expert in digital democracy. He has been involved in the successful delivery of many high profile and complex elections modernization, eDemocracy and eVoting projects worldwide, and has provided strategic advice in over 40 countries including the US, Philippines, South Africa, Botswana, Ethiopia and United Arab Emirates. Pablo’s work has contributed to more free, fair and inclusive elections and democratic processes worldwide.

Pablo brings over 20 years of experience as manager and developer in the tech industry. His very strong technical background is coupled with extensive experience in program design and implementation, sales strategy, business development and organizational planning.

Before founding OpenSeneca, Pablo served as Scytl’s former COO. His leadership has contributed to make Scytl a recognized worldwide main player in the election modernization field.

Earlier, Pablo was the founder and CEO of LilaBerg, a software company that provided school management solutions that he later sold. Previously, he spent most of his professional career in Germany serving as Business Manager at Hewlett-Packard for products in EMEA region.

Pablo has a Telecommunications Engineering Degree and a MBA. On his scarce free time Pablo can be found with his wife and two daughters, and developing apps for the fun of it!
