Born in 1977 in Macerata (Italy), after receiving a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in Economics, he specialized in journalism. In 2001 he started to work as a reporter in local tv and radios. In 2003-2005 he wrote for Il Sole 24 Ore, the first financial Italian newspaper and, since 2005, he has been working for Sky Tg24, the main Italian all news tv channel. As a tv reporter he covered all the main national events, such as the earthquake in L’Aquila in 2009. In 2012 he became political correspondent, following the rising of Five Star Movement and Matteo Renzi’s premiership. Since 2016 he is based in Brussels as senior EU correspondent, covering European politics and other events like terrorist attacks. He wrote two books and in 2011 was among the winners of “Reporter of the year” Italian prize. He teaches tv journalism at “Istituto per la formazione al giornalismo” in Urbino (Italy).
