Members of the European Parliament, EIF Members and guests will have the opportunity to meet Danish Tech Ambassador Casper Klynge in the morning of 29 November.
Ambassador Klynge is the world’s first-ever ’Tech Ambassador', with a global mandate and presence in Silicon Valley, Copenhagen and Beijing, thus transcending borders and regions and rethinking traditional diplomatic representation in the process. He will cover various topics of interest including the new concept of ’TechPlomacy’, but also future digital trends and geopolitical tech trends with a focus on Europe’s position.
TechPlomacy is an acknowledgement of the key role that technology and digitalisation plays and will increasingly play in the future for individuals and societies alike. It is also a recognition of the political and global influence that the tech-industry has in the 21st Century. TechPlomacy aims also to rethink the relationship between governments, civil society and the private sector by having frank and also critical dialogue on tough issues across foreign and security policy, including cyber, development policy, data protection and ethical use of data and AI.
