Funding Digital Infrastructure

EIF Dinner Debate

It is common knowledge that data explosion is pushing for huge investments in building digital infrastructures going forward.

On the other hand, return of investment for telecommunications companies is lower than before; loss in voice revenues is not compensated by data revenues and ‘over the top’ players are increasing their presence in the traditional telecommunications revenue space.

Moreover, on the international scenario Europe does not stand out, with the Americas and APAC front running the Next Generation Access (NGA) race.

This EIF Dinner Debate will offer an occasion to address key questions with prominent guests and stakeholders. What can be done to make the required investments happen? Which successful models are we seeing across the world? Which regulatory framework is required? How can financial instruments help? How will the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) work?
