EIF will host a joint event with UK-based Digital Policy Alliance (DPA) on ‘Mobile and broadband: what your constituents would like to know’ in London on Monday 24 March.
The debate will take place from 15.10-17.00 in Committee Room 4A, House of Lords, Westminster and will be chaired by Lord Erroll. It follows a previous EIF-DPA joint event on ‘Perspectives for Mobile and Broadband in the UK 2020’ with European Commission Vice-President Neelie Kroes hosted in Europe House, London on 13 March 2013. A year later, prominent speakers will again provide insights on the value of mobile and broadband in our future digital world, with a special focus on the access and deployment in the UK, needs and next steps.
Two newly released documents looking at major trends in the UK and Europe will be presented: ‘The Digital World in 2030: What Place for Europe?’ by EIF and ‘The UK’s enduring broadband deficit: A divided nation – Time for an effective plan’ by DBF.
