Online Child Protection EIF Breakfast Debate

The Internet is an amazing tool, which enables people around the world to connect effortlessly, to create and share their own content and to access all kinds of information on a massive scale. It offers unprecedented opportunities to transform learning, to facilitate communication and to support new forms of innovation and growth in the digital economy.

Like in all things, dangers are also present on web and the Internet can pose risks or dangers for any citizen. However, children and young people are especially vulnerable, as they do not have the capacity or the experience to protect themselves. Increased awareness need to be complemented by technical tools and positive content dedicated to children.
