EIF and EU40 MEP members are invited to participate in the upcoming EIF-EU40 Study Visit to Silicon Valley, California, taking place from Monday 18 to Thursday 21st July. A detailed programme will be made available as soon as possible.

After the success of the EIF Study Visit to Silicon Valley in 2012, upon initiative of MEP Lambert van Nistelrooij (EIF Programming Committee co-chair) this year EIF will join forces for the first time with EU40 – the cross-party network of young MEPs – to work on an attractive programme for the 2016 Study Visit and ensure that younger MEPs are also involved.

Under the main theme of ‘ICT Innovation & Entrepreneurship: the Road to the Valley’, this programme will be aimed at offering an extraordinary hands-on experience of today’s state-of-the-art technologies, of top-level research & development sites and of the famous Silicon Valley’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, with a reflection on Europe’s potential and on the role of policy-makers.
