Working breakfast 'Europe’s 5G ambition: harmonizing opportunities across EU28 countries'

Posted by: Michal Boni

Poland, Bulgaria, Italy and Lithuania are the mobile-centric market – where mobile penetration and mobile data consumption are among the highest in Europe. That is why measures for limiting excessive regulations and costs of the 5G roll out are so important. In the context all mentioned Member States indicate in particular the differing of Electromagnetic Field limits (EMF limits) which can affect negatively an effective implementation of the solutions necessary for 5G deployment.

We would like to point out the need to define standarised EMF limits at the European level in order to make it possible to build 5G network that is cost-effective for all Member States. It is particularly important in the context of the development of intelligent transport systems and autonomous cars.
