DS Park is Executive Director to Samsung Electronics in Brussels working in the area of public affairs and corporate citizenship. As Head of Public Affairs Office from October 2011 until 2014, DS was responsible for setting up the European Public Affairs office. An electrical engineer by background, DS has a deep understanding of Samsung Electronic global business.

From 2007 until 2011 DS was responsible for global standards strategy, regulatory standards and industry relations in Samsung. In 2009, DS was awarded a Doctorate-Honors from Samsung.

In March 2004 DS was appointed Director and Head of Advanced Research Lab where he led the advanced research on 4th generation communication research and standards in R&D. DS spent the previous 4 years working on global wireless communication standards such as 3rd Generation Partnership Project  (3GPP/3GPP2) focused on cdma technology, chairing the 3G multimedia communication group in 3GPP2.

In May 1995, DS began a 2 year term as Visiting Researcher in University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), Los Angeles, CA, USA where he focused on Mobile video phone, Mobile multimedia standards (MPEG, CDMA communications, etc.) research.

DS joined Samsung Electronics as a student at Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, Korea where he received a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
