- elected one of the representatives of the Municipality of Pavia from '93 to '96 in the assembly of the Park Ticino 

- from June '96 to October '98 delegated to the environment in the Executive of the same entity, promoting the recovery plans of several former quarries, including oxbow Ricotti in Pavia, former quarries Altea in Nosate and in Somma Lombardo, and collaborating in the drafting of the Territorial Coordination Plan of the Park and the Statute

- from January 2008 to November 2009, spokesman of the circle of the Democratic Party of West Pavia that, among other activities, produced a "white paper" on the neighborhood

- from June 2009 to May 2014 city councilor in Pavia in the group of the Democratic Party, member and vice president of the Council Commission VI (Environmental Policy, Agenda 21, Service Contracts, Technological Innovation, Relations with ASM and companies controlled by the Municipality and the same ASM, Health)

- elected Mayor of Pavia in 8th June 2014
