High-Level Roundtable Discussion on ‘Internet of Things’
brouchure

On the 21st February, EIF will host a High-level Roundtable with MEPs, experts and EIF members in the context of the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The era of the Internet of Things is not a vision anymore. It is here and it is being built today.

Although we have been talking about connected devices since the mid '90s, it is now that the Internet of Everything is finally hitting the mainstream.

Everything is connected, these days, and everything is mobile: money, health, education, communication, security, transportation, home automation. There are very few things being created today that do not somehow have a mobile component to them. So not only is everything mobile, but Mobile is Everything, as suggested by the title of the 2016 GSMA Mobile World Congress.

The EIF, together with the GSMA, would like to further explore the revolutionising possibilities of the Internet of Things (IoT) in a Roundtable discussion that will take place on Sunday 21 February from 16:00 to 18:00 at the Hotel Olivia Balmes in Barcelona.

The discussion will aim at exploring the latest IoT trends and initiatives as well as the importance of sustainable regulatory and policy environments. We will focus on how to enable the necessary investment in broadband deployment and the realisation of the full potential of the Internet of Things for consumers and businesses.
