Anja started her career in EU public affairs, with a specialisation in healthcare in 1993. She has been working as a government affairs professional both in the NGO and private sector, in particular pharmaceuticals and medical technology. She has been active as a public affairs consultant since January 2003 and has been leading the GSMA’s mHealth policy and regulatory initiatives at EU level since 2012. The GSMA represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide, uniting nearly 800 operators with more than 250 companies in the broader mobile ecosystem, including handset and device makers, software companies, equipment providers and Internet companies, as well as organisations in adjacent industry sectors, such as healthcare.
